Research centre says signing concordat is “important milestone” in ensuring its research practices are sustainable
The John Innes Centre has signed up to a sector-wide agreement on limiting the environmental impact of research.
The voluntary concordat was released in April, committing signatories to “deliver real change by 2025”. It already has 20 signatories, including national funder UK Research and Innovation, as well as major health funders Cancer Research UK and Wellcome. Several research-intensive universities have also signed up.
