A technician from Glasgow has won the inaugural Inspirational Technician Award, organised by the charity Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network and Lord Sainsbury’s Gatsby Foundation.
Nikki Cusworth, a quality improvement technician working at Rolls-Royce, was presented with the award by business secretary Vince Cable and former science minister, David Sainsbury, at a presentation at the House of Lords on 13 December.
