The science minister, David Willetts, attended a “topping out” ceremony at the Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst site on 14 July, celebrating a milestone in the building’s construction.
The laying of the final portion of cement in a building’s construction takes the £38 million project into its final phase, in advance of the park’s opening in early 2012, says the Wellcome Trust, which is a founding partner on the project.
