Bioindustry association makes board appointments

The BioIndustry Association, the UK’s umbrella body for companies in the life sciences, appointed five new members to the board at its 2013 annual general meeting.

The association announced the appointments on 10 October. Among the new appointees were Kevin Cox, a chemist and director of Imanova, a company specialising in imaging sciences, and Patrick Verheyen, head of innovation at skincare products company Johnson and Johnson. Each will serve for three years.

John Brown, chairman of the Cell Therapy Catapult, has been reappointed, as has Ian Tomlinson, senior vice-president and head of biopharmaceuticals R&D at GlaxoSmithKline.
