GSK plans R&D shake-up

The R&D department of pharmaceutical company GSK will undergo a ‘change programme’ in a bid to save at least £1 billion by 2016, the company has said.

GSK will also look at its manufacturing operations as part of the programme, which aims to roll out good working practices from particular R&D locations to all other R&D locations.
