Work has begun on the construction of two additional buildings at the Sci-Tech Daresbury Enterprise Zone in Cheshire, which will offer office and laboratory space for companies in fields such as biomedicine and materials science.
The two buildings will together provide an additional 5,200 square metres of office and laboratory space in the enterprise zone, Sci-Tech Daresbury said on 18 June. The enterprise zone designation means that tenants will be eligible for five years of relief on local authority business rates.
Sci-Tech Daresbury is a joint venture between the Science and Technology Facilities Council, Halton Borough Council and the property developer Langtree Property Partners. It already houses more than 100 companies.
