The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and the University of Hull are preparing to launch a £2-million centre to improve how offshore wind farms are operated and maintained.
Over the next five years, the Operations and Maintenance Centre of Excellence will undertake a series of research and innovation projects aimed at solving problems faced by the offshore renewable energy industry.
The university and the catapult have each committed £200,000 a year in funding, they said in an announcement on 3 October.
