Capital prepares for tech event

London Tech Week is set to take place across the city's universities and research institutions from 12 to 16 June.

Companies working at the interface of finance and technology (fintech); government and tecnology (govtech) and others will lead workshops and talks on digital innovation at the event. 

Stefan Webb, head of projects at the Future Cities Catapult, said in a statement: “The planning system often gets blamed for many of the challenges cities face; lack of affordable housing, poorly designed places and citizens resisting new development. But the system isn’t broken, it just needs upgrading."
