Catapult head Elsy joins Henry Royce board

The chief executive of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult Dick Elsy is to become a non-executive director of the Henry Royce Institute's governing board.

The catapult announced Elsy’s appointment to the institute’s board in a statement on 2 June. Andrew Hosty, former chief operating officer at Morgan Advanced Materials was named as the institute’s head in November 2016.

Elsy joined the catapult in October 2012, after more than nine years as chief executive of Torotrak, a private company that develops technologies to reduce carbon emissions from vehicles. He has also been director and trustee of the careers organisation Engineering UK.
