Harriett Baldwin, minister for defence procurement, has announced the UK’s participation in an international initiative to address the growing problem of space junk.

Baldwin made the announcement on 24 July at the first meeting of the Ministry of Defence’s Defence External Innovation Advisory Panel, which took place at the department’s headquarters in London.
