Pioneering X-ray station welcomes first users

An ambient pressure facility has conducted its first experiments.

Researchers have used a beamline at the Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire to examine materials at close to atmospheric pressure.

a team from the University of Reading used the facility to study the molecular functioning of a catalyst. The work could ultimately be used to inform the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.
