Catapult seeks input on life sciences strategy

The Medicines Discovery Catapult is seeking the opinions of researchers to help direct its investments as it implements the UK government’s life sciences industrial strategy.

In an announcement on 13 September, the Catapult invited researchers to take part in a 15-minute survey. The responses will help shape the catapult’s strategy, ensuring it is as “as appropriate as possible to the UK’s research base and strengths”.

The survey aims to assess the strength of the UK’s basic science and translational medicine research base, to help the catapult identify: areas to invest in; to identify promising drug discovery technologies; and to gain a better understanding of how easy it is for companies to collaborate with academic biomedical centres.
