Innovate UK tackles health and emissions challenges

Innovate UK has invited businesses to bid for a share of £35 million for projects to develop low emission vehicles and to tackle health, food and agriculture challenges.

The UK government plans to invest  £20m, via the Faraday Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, in research to advance the transition to zero emission vehicles, the innovation agency announced on 25 September.

Innovate UK will collaborate on the project with the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, an agency set up jointly by the business and transport departments.
