A UK aerospace company has confirmed that it is to move part of the development work on the European Union’s Galileo satellite navigation system to the EU after Brexit.
Surrey Satellite Technology told Research Fortnight that after March 2019 it would no longer be able to carry out testing on the secure element of Galileo’s navigation payload in the UK, as a result of Brexit mitigation measures agreed with the EU.
No staff will be relocated and the company’s UK staffing levels will not be affected.
