Gender and diversity researcher warns of ‘closed club’ culture that deters women from spinout companies

Universities must do more to support and encourage women in commercialising their work, according to a new study highlighting the stark underrepresentation of female leaders in the spinout world.

Anne Laure Humbert, director of the Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice at Oxford Brookes University, and her colleagues analysed 800 active spinout companies for the report.
