£15 million for applied food science

Businesses can apply for funding to study data-driven solutions to problems in agriculture

Innovate UK is investing up to £15 million into feasibility studies and demonstration projects to turn new food technologies into practical solutions for farmers, agronomists and veterinarians.

This is part of the government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund Transforming Food Production Challenge, worth up to £90 million, which aims “to help businesses invest in new data-driven precision-agriculture technologies that could transform food production”.
