Companies offered funding to test medical devices in the NHS

Businesses are invited to bid for a share of £1.5 million to help evaluate the effectiveness of medical devices in the NHS.

The funding, which is offered by the innovation agency Innovate UK and the government’s Office for Life Sciences, will help small and medium-sized enterprises develop an evidence base for how their products and services perform in NHS settings.

There are two options for funding: up to £50,000 to make a detailed plan to collect such data; or up to £250,000 to actually collect and analyse the data. Projects must start by December.
