Nesta starts hunt for new chief

Innovation charity Nesta is seeking an “exceptional” chief executive following Geoff Mulgan’s decision to step down after eight years in the role.

Mulgan (pictured), who oversaw the organisation’s transition from a non-departmental public body into an independent charity in 2012, announced in January that he would be stepping down at the end of the year.

On 16 April the charity said it was looking for a “visionary leader” to replace Mulgan. The ideal candidate should have “a deep passion for innovation in the broadest sense and the energy and creativity to maximise Nesta’s impact”, according to the job advert.
