Innovate UK is offering cash from the government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund to support ideas that could help elderly people enjoy healthier and more fulfilling lives.
The funding will support products and services that help people maintain physical activity or make homes more user-friendly for older people. It is being offered under Innovate UK’s Healthy Ageing Trailblazers scheme.
A sum of £1.5 million is being offered in stage one of the competition, but the funding agency says that up to £36m could be available to the best ideas in the second phase.
