MPs launch inquiry into tech and future of UK foreign policy

Foreign Affairs Committee calls for evidence on challenges and opportunities of new and emerging technologies

The Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Commons has launched an inquiry into technology and the future of UK foreign policy, to examine the UK response to the opportunities and challenges presented by new technologies.

“New and emerging technologies are fundamentally altering the nature of international relations and the conduct of diplomacy,” the committee said on 8 March.
