Capital is “global driving force” thanks to its universities and their international collaboration, says report

London continues to be a key player in global science and innovation, underpinned by its world-class universities, according to an international report.

The report—prepared by Elsevier in collaboration with the Administrative Center of Shanghai R&D Public Service Platforms—measured 20 global cities’ technological innovation competitiveness from the perspective of research and enterprise R&D activities between 2014 and 2018.
