Government’s Events Research Programme pilots launched in bid for safe reopening of venues and events

The government has launched a research programme to explore how to mitigate the risk of catching Covid-19 at different events and venues.

The Events Research Programme pilots will run across a range of settings, venues and activities, starting with the World Championship Snooker at the Crucible in Sheffield on 17 April and the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on 18 April.
