Pharma and bioindustry associations criticise recent US support for waiving intellectual property for the jabs
UK bioscience industry and pharmaceutical leaders have warned against waiving intellectual property for Covid-19 vaccines.
Their intervention comes after the United States trade representative Katherine Tai said the US would “actively participate” in negotiations at the World Trade Organization to make the waiver happen, adding that “the extraordinary circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic call for extraordinary measures”.
