UK defence lab seeks help in spending extra £1bn R&D budget

       

Defence Science and Technology Laboratory seeks collaborators for “most ambitious programme” in its history

The UK’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory has called on the science and technology community for help in spending its recently boosted budget at “an incredibly exciting time” for science.

Doug Umbers, interim chief executive of the Ministry of Defence agency, wrote to UK academics and other researchers on 21 June to ask them to consider working with the organisation to “supercharge” its work, especially if they have not collaborated before.
