UK leadership in veterinary vaccinology threatened by lack of investment, says British Society for Immunology
The UK’s “rich legacy” of research in veterinary immunology and vaccinology is now under threat due to a lack of strategic long-term investment, according to the British Society for Immunology and the International Veterinary Vaccinology Network.
The threat comes at the time when people are particularly vulnerable to emerging infectious diseases from animals, says their 18 August report.
