Facility will give academics real-world testbed for work on security and performance of mobile networks

The UK is to open its first national facility for research into the security and resilience of mobile networks, government technology minister Damian Collins has announced.

The announcement comes after years of concern about issues such as the use of Chinese technology in 5G networks and a lack of coordination in research on these critical infrastructures.
