Ethicists call for more regulation of mental-health tech

             

Nuffield Council on Bioethics warns many commercial mental-health apps have not undergone rigorous testing

A leading bioethics body has warned that mental health apps and other technologies are not being sufficiently scientifically tested before being released to the public.

In recent years, a number of technologies have been released claiming to help helping people manage their mental health, including smartphone apps, chatbots and virtual reality therapies.
