Access to skills a key issue for UK genomics companies

Survey finds majority of genomics SMEs struggle to find enough staff with appropriate skills

Access to skills has been identified as a threat to the growth of the UK’s thriving genomics sector.

According to a survey of small and medium-sized UK genomics companies, 82 per cent said they experience issues in finding staff with appropriate skills, while 50 per cent struggle to offer salaries that are competitive enough to attract the right workers.
