Researchers can now use a Microsoft Word add-in to help them prepare academic manuscripts as they write them.
The free tool from technology company Paperpal—which is said to use machine learning as well as artificial intelligence (AI) models—was previously only available as an online editor on journal websites, where authors could make pre-submission checks.
