UK promises £37m for AI research ahead of AI safety summit

Companies can also bid for up to £400,000 to fund innovative solutions to tackling bias

The government has announced that millions of pounds is being made available for artificial intelligence projects, and a further £400,000 to find ways to ensure the technology is safer.

New projects looking at AI in sectors including transport, construction, agriculture and the creative industries will be able to apply for a share of £32 million from UK Research and Innovation.
