Chancellor responds to review from Patrick Vallance outlining “12-to-24-month window” of opportunity for UK leadership

The government has said it will “immediately” move to set up artificial intelligence regulation aimed at making the UK a centre of AI development.

The move follows chief scientific adviser Patrick Vallance’s recommendations, amid his review of regulation for emerging technologies commissioned by the chancellor Jeremy Hunt.
