Policy should encourage cross-disciplinary research involving the social sciences, paper says

Social sciences are an important yet often undervalued part of the research and innovation ecosystem, a report has argued.

Research is better when it is done in partnership, and policy should encourage social sciences as part of multidisciplinary projects, the Academy of Social Sciences said in a paper published on 18 January.
