Global group steering ‘landmark’ AI safety report named

First scientific state-of-play report on advanced AI safety due in spring, following UK summit

Members of an international expert panel overseeing a scientific report on the safety of artificial intelligence have been named.

First announced at a global summit on AI safety held in the UK last November, the report is meant to provide a science-based overview of the risks and capabilities of the most advanced AI systems, to inform policymakers worldwide on regulating the breakthrough technology.
