UK biotech policy ‘fragmented’

Sector needs “stable” policy for biotechnologies to help tackle environmental problems, says BioIndustry Association

The UK’s policy on applied biotechnologies is “fragmented” across different government departments and in need of improvement, according to a report from a biotech lobby group.

The nation is in a prime position to harness breakthroughs in this area for a more sustainable future, but it will only do so through predictable policy and funding, the BioIndustry Association said.
