Research into multimorbidity leaves out people who are more likely to be affected, review finds
Ethnic minorities are underrepresented in research studies into multiple long-term conditions, also known as multimorbidity, despite being more likely to be affected, research has revealed.
A systematic review published this month in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine found that studies to improve the management of multiple long-term conditions rarely report on ethnic minority groups. The review was carried out by an East Midlands-based collaboration group backed by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
