The Elsevier-owned Social Science Research Network has made a bold move into the natural sciences with the launch of a biology preprint service.
BioRN, launched on 7 June, is a preprint service that that gives researchers in the biosciences a platform for posting working papers, sharing early-stage research with their peers and collaborators.
The service is free and intended to encourage collaboration between life scientists and researchers working in the social sciences.
