Librarians urge publishers to drop charges for remote access

Publishers Association told to ‘look again’ at supporting UK higher education and research

Publishers should remove charges for their online resources used by students studying remotely, library representatives have said.

A 5 February letter addressed to the CEO of the Publishers Association, Stephen Lotinga, recognises various time-limited initiatives that publishers rolled out during the first national lockdown last year, and calls for similar help now.
