Learned society aims to make its 44 fully owned journals open access within five years

The UK’s Royal Society of Chemistry has committed to making all of its 44 fully owned journals open access within five years.

RSC said it sees “free, unrestricted global access to all of the cutting-edge research” published in its journals as a “key component” of its mission to help the chemical sciences “make the world a better place”.
