Disruption expected as union members at flagship journal and Nature-branded titles in London take action

Editorial staff working on the Nature portfolio of academic journals in London have voted overwhelmingly to strike in a dispute over pay.

Almost 93 per cent of members of the National Union of Journalists who took part in the ballot voted in favour of strike action. The move comes after pay talks with the publishing company Springer Nature broke down in April, during which the union rejected a pay increase of 5.8 per cent.
