The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee has summoned David Delpy, chief executive of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, to discuss changes to the council’s grant assessment regime.
The council has announced that “national importance” will become a primary criterion, alongside excellence, in assessing grant applications.
The session will take place on 29 November and will also hear from John Armitt, chairman of the EPSRC.
