There are “no plans” to privatise the Met Office but it may face “private involvement and investment”, according to Edward Davey, employment relations, consumer and postal affairs minister at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
Davey was speaking at a Science and Technology Select Committee evidence session on science in the Met Office.
