Opposition lays out science plans

A 10-year plan for science will be a fundamental part of the Labour Party’s future policy, Chi Onwurah, shadow minister for innovation and science, told the Parliamentary Links Day at the House of Commons on 28 June.

“British science needs the security of a long term funding plan… Three-year funding cycles do not form a scientific basis for scientific endeavour,” she said. “In Government we put in place a ten-year plan for science. And that will be a fundamental part of our plan for science again.”
