Willetts outlines private provider regulations

The universities minister, David Willetts, has outlined regulations with which private higher education providers will have to comply for their students to access government student support funding.

Speaking in the House of Commons on 14 July, Willetts said that for-profit institutions would have to comply with requirements on quality, dispute resolution, student information, financial sustainability, any reformed student number controls, tuition charge caps and access—if charging more than £6,000 a year.
