Peers press for stronger research focus in NHS bill

Three cross-party peers in the House of Lords have written to Frederick Curzon, parliamentary under secretary of state at the department of health, calling for increased research focus in the Health and Social Care bill.

The 24 January letter was signed by Liberal Democrat Phil Willis, Labour’s Leslie Turnberg, and crossbench peer Delyth Morgan. The bill is at the committee stage in the House of Lords.
