The University and College Union has issued a warning to Ed Miliband after the Labour leader said he would give businesses “control of the money for training” people who do not go to university.
“History tells us that handing huge sums of money over to business to improve education does not always produce the best results,” said Sally Hunt, the UCU’s general secretary.
