The Government will publish its response to the Finch committee inquiry into expanding access to research publications after consulting relevant funding agencies, science minister David Willetts said in a written Commons reply on 26 June.
Answering a question from Chris Ruane, Labour MP for Vale of Clwyd, Willetts restated the government’s commitment to ensuring that the results of publicly-funded research should be accessible free of charge.
