Government has no GDP-linked R&D target

Science minister David Willetts has confirmed in Parliament that the UK government has no target linking the research to GDP.

Zac Goldsmith, Conservative MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston, asked in Parliament on 18 September “whether it is still the government’s policy to increase UK investment in research and development to 2.5 per cent of GDP”.
