NI minister reinforces STEM pledge

Northern Ireland’s minister for employment and learning has reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising an increase in STEM subject uptake.

Responding to a question in the Assembly, Stephen Farry, the Alliance Party member for North Down, restated his pledge to create an additional 700 “economically relevant” STEM places by 2014-15 at Northern Ireland’s universities.
