Cameron must explain his ‘golden thread’ in development goals

David Cameron must clarify what he means by the “golden thread” when he talks about international development, MPs have said.

In a report published on 22 January, the House of Commons International Development Committee criticised Cameron for defining the “golden thread” variously as stable government, lack of corruption, the rule of law, and also access to markets, property rights and private sector investment.
