SNP’s Pete Wishart takes UK government to task over immigration

The UK government’s immigration policy is starting to “really hurt” Scotland, a Scottish National Party MP has said.

Speaking in the House of Commons on 13 February, Pete Wishart, SNP MP for Perth and North Perthshire, said that the “Tory government’s obsession with immigration is starting to really hurt us: a 26 per cent reduction in students from India, a 25 per cent reduction from Pakistan and a 14 per cent reduction from Nigeria”.
